This process allows the seller/owner to be prepared for the potential buyer’s pre-purchase inspection. A pre-listing inspection can expedite the sale of a home by allowing the seller/owner/agent to remedy, or negotiate repairs without unexpected surprises, or last-minute delays before hitting the market. Typically, home inspections are paid for by the buyer and performed before closing the sale of the home. A pre-listing inspection is a valuable tool to stay in control of your sale and maximize profits.

A pre-purchase inspection is the same comprehensive inspection BUT it is provided exclusively for the buyer. This is the buyer’s opportunity to perform due diligence prior to closing as an additional protective measure. After the inspection is completed, you (the buyer) will have an opportunity to review the report, prepare a repair proposal (typically prepared by your realtor) and negotiate repairs and/or monetary compensation.
